DR DOM HENNESSY

Dr Hennessy pursued a career in internal medicine before realising, whilst working as a Ships Doctor based in the United States, he liked the continuity of seeing people as a Family Doctor. He is the educational lead for our practice. He is a GP Tutor for Health Education England's Wessex Faculty, occasionally lectures for Bournemouth University, and takes a lead for practice business. He also holds a British Wheel of Yoga Certificate in Teaching Yoga.

DR ELOISE TALBOTT

Bsc (Hons) BM MRCGP (Southampton 2012)

Dr Talbott graduated from Southampton University in 2012. She initially worked as a junior doctor in Somerset and Bristol, followed by a year teaching medical students at Bristol University Medical School. She completed her GP training in Bristol, before spending a couple of years working as a GP in Somerset, and has now settled in Dorset with her family.

DR SEAN HOLROYD

Dr Holroyd graduated from University of Bristol in 2013. He spent a couple of years as a junior doctor in Staffordshire before moving to Dorset to complete his GP training and settle on the outskirts of the New Forest with his young family. He developed a wide range of interests and has a particular interest in paediatric medicine. Outside interests include bird watching, metal detecting, boxing, and keeping fit.

Locum GPs

From time to time patients may be offered a consultation with a locum GP. Locum GPs are fully qualified GPs and therefore have the same training and qualifications as our salaried GPs.

Nurses

Our nurses offer childhood immunisations, vaccinations, wound care, post operative care, ear care, injections and cervical smears. Our nurses also offer support in helping patients to manage long term respiratory and diabetic health conditions. We also have support from Locum Nurses who help the surgery with all aspects of Nursing Care.

Sue has been with the practice for 15 years. As well as administration and dispensary responsibilities Sue also runs phlebotomy clinics.

Community Nurses

The community/district nursing team is based in St Leonards.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing. The Health Visiting Team is based in Verwood.
